Flamboyant cuttlefish march along the seafloor alternating between exquisite camouflage and striking coloration.
Once thought to be warnings of violent toxicity, the contrasting colors and disruptive body shapes of Metasepia are now thought to be a way to get predators to think twice about eating alien-looking fare.
